Few updates!
Hey everyone, 1.0.1 is out now and we’re looking to share some of the bugs we squashed, especially for our Steam Deck players, plus address any fixes that’s next on our plate.
Patch Notes 1.0.1
- Fixed a Steam Deck video codec issue that was causing empty white videos to loop indefinitely.
- Fixed an issue where players would get stuck in Medusa’s area where you can’t leave her room.
- Added a training message to introduce The Impaler in the Retro Grounds.
- Added dialog between Drac and Bataboom to explain why the Van Helsings sound the way they do.
- Added Steam Cloud saves!
Things We’re Aware Of (And That We’re Addressing)

Deluxe Edition OST - Aware some users are unable to access the OST. We are aware and have flagged this with Valve and should be fixed (fingers crossed!) within the next 48 hours. (If you were effected by this you can email [email protected] and she can check your order and get you a link to our google drive which has the soundtrack).

Steam Deck - While the fix allows players to experience Romancelvania on the Steam Deck, we are still optimizing the experience and have not yet formally submitted for Steam Deck green check certification, so please play at your own risk! If you just can’t wait to try it out, we recommend switching your graphics settings from EPIC to HIGH for now.
As a lean team with lots of love and ambition for our project, we want to make sure players are feeling heard (and continue to be heard) as we work on optimizing the game, so please keep the feedback coming. We’re looking to identify what’s most important for our players as we take in all the feedback, and plan to address what we can in future patches. It’s our goal to give you as much information as possible and be transparent about development on our backend.

Fulfillment update:
1) We will be sending out a google form in the coming days for you to fill out for the Backers Weapon pack Kickstarter item so we can get you that download code.
2) We are still getting the Digital art book together (So much art) and will distribute that soon as well.

Hey everyone!
We are so happy you are all enjoying Romancelvania so far! The outpouring of support and messages is making our day!
Few things to update you on.
1) We are aware that there are video codec issues with Steam Deck, causing white screens on Steam Deck ONLY. We have a fix but it needs a bit more testing. For now, please hold off on running the game on Steam Deck. We will update you asap!
2) We have some digital rewards that we still owe you all including the following. Digital art book, Grim's Scythe and the Weapon Pack. We will get these to you very soon! It's been a challenge to get this all out simultaneously so we really appreciate your patience! We are running a very small team right now so lots to juggle. We wanted to make sure to get the game in your hands today! The rest is on the way soon!

Heyo Team Romancelvania!!!
I can't believe we are one day from launching. It seems like a dream!
We are running a mile a minute here at the Deep End as we continue to make sure everything goes as smooth as possible tomorrow!
Lindsay is still getting all the Digital codes together from our Publishing Partner and the plan is to get them emailed out to you all tomorrow. We are so excited and it's just a little longer before you all can experience the wackiness of Romancelvania!
One thing that will really help Romancalvania become the huge success you all already know it is, is if you all get the chance to leave reviews on Steam, PS5 or Xbox Series S/X. You all have been the best community we could ask for and we appreciate each and every one of you!
